Manufacturing and Fabrication
Bayview Edison provides manufacturing and fabrication services for a variety of composite projects: large or small; short run or long run; simple or complex.
Our most complex fabrication project to date is the building of the Northwest Trawlers line of motor yachts. Our newest model, the Northwest 50 FC (fishing cockpit) won the “People’s Choice Award” at Passagemaker Magazine’s Trawler Fest in May 2009.
Bayview Edison has a talented work force highly skilled in a range of disciplines beyond composites. These include electrical, metal fabrication, welding, finish carpentry, mechanical systems, and systems integration.
Bayview Edison’s goal is to deliver Pure Value in every project. Lean practice, among other initiatives, is employed to achieve the objective of delivering Pure Value to customers.
Rapid
Prototyping
Short run “soft” tooling can be fabricated using a variety of methods including large and small scale 5-axis NC machining to quickly deliver a prototype article for testing or limited production. Short run tools may be modified and used to produce a master plug for construction of long run “hard” production molds.
“Turn Key”
Production System
Bayview Edison can deliver a complete “turn key” production system that includes tooling, product engineering, structural testing, lean production workflow, bills of materials, quality assurance process and training.
Bayview Edison manufactures composite components and structures as well as fabricates steel structures such as the 60 foot long frame for a wind turbine blade mold.
